Dâmbul lui Gâf - Panoramic viewpoint with benches and a spring Distance: 18 kilometers

Petreasa Peak (1,600 m), located in Horea commune, Alba County, is a remarkable mountain destination in the Apuseni Mountains. Accessible via Drumul lui Iovan, an asphalted road that climbs almost to the top, the place offers spectacular panoramas and an authentic atmosphere of Țara Moților.

Along the route, visitors can discover Dâmbul lui Gâf, a place with cultural and historical significance for the local community. In the past, the Moți used to rest here after the tiring ascent, and the spot also became known as a meeting place for lovers. Today, the hill is equipped with a spring, benches, and a sculptural ensemble dedicated to love, the result of a sculpture contest held in 2017.

Nearby is the Memorial of the 2014 plane crash, a place for remembrance and tribute. Petreasa Peak is ideal for hiking, relaxation, and exploring the traditions of the Moți people in an exceptional natural setting.
